“The way a book is read — which is to say, the qualities a reader brings to a book — can have as much to do with its worth as anything the author puts into it…. Anyone who can read can learn how to read deeply and thus live more fully.”
~Norman Cousins

I read from my scriptures (book), but you can find scripture reference here.

A Tale of Two Fathers by Ann Y.

A Tale of Two Fathers

The name of Father brings to mind,
Two men that I have known.
Both men have made an impact, thus
Have shaped the way I've grown.

I've needed two to give me life,
Two kinds with different goals.
One helped create my body's breath;
One filled it with my soul.

Both men have taught me right from wrong;
Both mourned when I have strayed.
Each welcomed me with outstretched arms,
When I came back to stay.

One works and struggles with me here;
One waits for me above.
Both men are great in each his way;
Both men are dear and loved.

Someday I'll live with both these men,
Each happy by my side,
In peace and glory granted us,
In mansions up on high.

I honor these two men with whom,
Life's footsteps I have trod,
The one that I call "Daddy,"
And the other known as "God."

Happy Father's Day to all of the Fathers out there. We love you!
